Michael is the managing director and co-founder of our investment office. He has played an integral leadership role in the investing and business components of a large, complex family office.
From 1995 to 2013, he was with William Harris Investors, Inc. (WHI), a family office that manages more than $1B. Michael was serving as executive vice president since 2000 and heading the Alternatives Investment Group. From 1991 through 1995, he served as an associate in the corporate department of the law firm of Cravath, Swaine & Moore in New York.
Michael received a JD degree, cum laude, from Harvard Law School, and a BA, magna cum laude, in humanities from Yale University. He is also a member of the Bar of the State of New York and serves on the Board of Directors of Computer Logic, a former portfolio company of WHI, and the Advisory Board of Invest for Kids.
Brandon is our director and has experience in managing pools of capital for large, prominent organizations and families across the country. He has spent much of his career in institutional investing with expertise in all aspects of the investment process. These range from policy development and asset allocation to investment due diligence and risk management.
Brandon began his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers where he audited financial services companies, which were mostly private equity firms and hedge funds.
From 2010-2012, he spent time at Morgan Stanley in the Private Wealth Management group where he helped manage portfolios for ultra-high-net-worth individuals and families. These include public company executives and private business owners.
Recently, Brandon was an investment officer with Angeles Investment Advisors, a multi-asset investment firm providing customized solutions for institutions primarily endowments and foundations. He was also part of a three-person investment team within the Investment Office of the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Chicago from 2012-2017, where he managed its >$1 billion endowment portfolio.
Brandon earned a BS degree in accountancy and a master of accounting science degree from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. He is a CFA Charterholder and a registered CPA.
Jeff is our managing director in New York and has more than 30 years of experience as a family office executive, successful investment professional, private investor, and CEO. In addition, he is the founding partner and portfolio manager of Armonk Capital Partners, a fund of hedge funds specializing in fundamental long-short equity.
Before joining our company, he was a partner at Cherry Creek Family Office. He was also a founding partner at Sonar Asset Management, a principal at Sire Management, and the president and CEO of Credit Clearing House. He began his career as a financial analyst at Morgan Stanley and then as an associate at Goldman Sachs.
Jeff received an MBA in finance from Columbia Business School and a BS in political science and communications from Northwestern University. He serves on the board of directors of Yonkers Partners in Education, an organization that supports underprivileged students.
